Go by your pet's weight.

Size S suits kittens, small cats and toy breeds up to roughly 7 lbs.

Size M fits pets up to the full 11 lb (5 kg) limit and leaves more room to shift around inside.

Between the two? Take the M — a little extra canvas is far more comfortable than a tote that's snug. If it's wrong, you have 60 days to swap it.

Will my cat actually sit in it?

Most cats take a few tries — this is a bag, and cats have opinions about bags.

What works: leave it open on the floor for a day or two so it becomes furniture. Drop a treat or their blanket inside. Let them climb in on their own before you ever lift it.

Cats who already like being carried or who nap in boxes usually take to it fast. A cat who hates being picked up is not going to love this, and that's worth knowing before you buy.

How does my pet stay inside?

Straight answer: their head stays out through the mane opening, and an adjustable drawstring lets you snug the collar so they can't slip back down into the bag.

How do I clean it?

Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it air dry standing up so the canvas keeps its shape.

Go gently around the plush mane and give it a brush with your fingers once it's dry to fluff it back up. Skip the washing machine and the dryer — both will flatten the mane and soften the canvas body.
